The Hotel Sonnentau is a family-business, which runs in the second generation.
Sonja Karlein
Sonja Karlein is responsible for the administrative work including the strategic management of the hotel as well as the head of the spa department. She loves the holistic view of body, mind and soul. With her medial work for health, she caters for the spiritual balance.
Heino Goldbach
Heino Goldbach is especially responsible for the operativ business of the hotel including front office and F&B department.

The families Goldbach and Karlein are supported by a great team. Together we make sure, you enjoy your stay at our hotel to the fullest. We are all dedicated to create an memorable experience for you! Below we present our team divided by departments. Front Office
CEO Heino Goldbach with his front office team. They take care of your request, bookings as well as assist on-site at any time.
F&B
Our F&B department of the hotel with F&B Manager Svenja Wehner.
Culinary department
our culinary department with head chef Wilfried Bauß, sous chef Sven Müller and their culinary team create delicacies every day.
Trainees
We are very happy to provide apprenticeships in our hotel to ensure skilled professionals in the future.
Management
CEO Sonja Karlein with her administration team. They are responsible for accounting, printed and online marketing, projects and the topic of digitalisation.
Housekeeping
The housekeeping department keeps the hotel clean. They cater for cleanness.
Spa department
Whether you prefer classical or special treatments, our spa team offers individual treatments for everyone.
Facility Managers
The facility team maintances the hotel and makes sure the spa area as well as the technical facilities are properly working.
The families Goldbach, Karlein and Zirk are part of the Sonnentau as well. Together with the Sonnentau team we create our guests a wonderful time, true to the motto "pamper yourself with the sun at heart".

Noreen Goldbach
… is the wife of CEO Heino Goldbach. She works as assistant at the front office.
Erich Karlein
Our own architect of the hotel and husband of CEO Sonja Karlein likewise. Grown up in the construction business, he naturally takes over the construction management on-site!
The first generation | Maria and Raimund Goldbach
Back then they established the former Cafe - Restaurant - B&B Sonnentau. Since 1971 they are seen as being the souls of the hotel. Maria Goldbach feels comfortable in the kitchen, where she creates cakes and pies for our guest. Raimund Goldbach passed away on 13th of April 2019. He supported our team every day, wherever he was needed. We miss his sovereign and warm-hearted type.
